General/Operations Manager at Interload Forwarding, LLC in Laredo, TX:
Responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day logistics and supply chain operations.
Duties:
• Utilize InDrive-WMS and accounting modules to manage warehouse operations
efficiently.
• Develop and maintain reports to measure productivity, conduct cost analysis to
reduce expenses, and implement strategies to minimize equipment repairs.
• Manage Mexico-USA-Canada logistics operations, overseeing key performance
indicators (KPIs), project management, and customs compliance.
• Lead warehouse inventory management and implement cost and accounting
strategies.
• Supervise warehouse team to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican laws for exports and imports.
• Manage supply chain operations for multiple plants in Mexico and the USA,
achieving significant cost savings through optimization projects.
• Prepare cost reports and implement cost-saving measures.
• Maintain effective communication within the workgroup and with other departments.
• Ensure customs compliance and legal adherence to Mexican export-import
regulations.
• Manage accounts for major clients, overseeing production scheduling and forecasting.
• Plan and schedule weekly and daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including written quotations and proactive
shipment status updates.
• Manage client profiles and databases, ensuring timely delivery of shipments.
• Conduct cost analysis and follow shipments until delivery.
• Supervise 39 employees: Warehouse Operations Manager, Manager/Drivers, Office
Admin, Forklift Operators.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management,
or related field, plus 5 years of experience with: managing logistics and supply chain operations;
and cross-border trade between the USA, Mexico, and Canada as it relates to 3rd Party
Logistics/Warehousing. Total experience must include 2 years with InDrive-WMS and
accounting modules; SAP; and ocean and air shipments.
Position requires an average of 50 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break each day. Typical
hours are 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday work occurs occasionally, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., depending on
workload.
